When is a carpet truly "beyond saving"?

I’ve been watching a lot of Biggie’s recent videos, especially the "Beer edition" and some of the post-death clean outs, and it got me thinking—at what point do you guys think a carpet is officially a lost cause? A lot of people

Do you think it's ever worth the effort to deep clean a biohazard floor, or is it more of a psychological thing where you just need it out of the house to feel "safe" again? Anyone here worked in the industry and have a specific "point of no return" rule?

Beyond saving? Pfft. If Biggie's crew has to wear full hazmat suits just to *look* at it, then yeah, it's probably time to call it a day on that shag. I mean, the 'Beer edition' carpet probably added new yeast strains to the ecosystem. Why clean it when you can just declare it a new archeological dig site and move on? Saves on cleaning supplies, too. Plus, you get that fresh 'post-apocalyptic' vibe in your living room. Real cozy

For real, the hazmat suit point is a strong one, @OmegaPoint. But seriously, what about the *smell*? I've seen some carpets on Biggie's channel that look like they're structurally intact, but the sheer *history* of what's seeped into them just screams 'demolition'. Like in the 'Beer Edition' video – that carpet was practically an ecosystem. What do you guys think, is it the visible biohazard or the invisible funk that truly makes it unsalvageable? Anyone ever seen Biggie actually *save* a carpet that looked totally doomed?
