It is fascinating to observe how Phil’s return to the platform has resulted in a significant shift in production value without sacrificing the "grit" that defined his earlier work. Looking at the recent Adam Little documentary, the cinematography demonstrates a much more sophisticated understanding of light and shadow compared to the "Goodbye Art" era, which relied more on the raw, ephemeral nature of the performance. I’m particularly interested in the choice of "representative media" lately—using gin and juice for a Snoop Dogg portrait is classic Phil, but the technical execution of the stippling and the archival quality of these new projects seem more refined. Has anyone else noticed the improved audio engineering in the "In this Life or the Next" series? It adds a layer of professionalism that makes the experimentation feel more intentional and less like a "weird question" being answered on a whim.
