I’m curious, though, how do people here categorize their playlists? Do you think they lean heavier into the late 80s adult contemporary sound (think Richard Marx/Chicago power ballads) or the slightly edgier, AOR sound from the early 90s (like early Roxette or Starship)?

Also, who else thinks "The Northern Lights" aesthetic is maybe too soft? I want to see a tier list on which "romantic" ballads are actually the most heartbreaking or even slightly creepy (looking at you, *Every Breath You Take*, which is pure stalker anthem).
