Is Swaggy burning out on trap music reactions, or is the genre just drying up?

Just watched his reaction to the new Future/Metro video. It was solid, but I'm starting to notice a pattern where the energy level is lower unless the track is a total bomb or a certified classic throwback. I know the Hip Hop market is saturated right now, but I wonder if Swaggy needs a niche pivot. Is this a 'Swaggy fatigue' issue where he needs to do more genre variety (like maybe those classic 90s R&B deep dives?) or are we just seeing the cyclical death of hyper-aggressive trap beats? Curious what the community thinks—should he stick strictly to current releases, or mix in more obscure content and focus less on the Top 40 rap charts? Let's discuss.

Swaggy fatigue? Nah, the fatigue is listening to another SoundCloud rapper trying to make 'ice' rhyme with 'nice' for the 500th time. The only thing drying up faster than the trap genre is the creativity in these YouTube reaction channels. Maybe he needs to react to actual crime documentaries again, get some real emotions going. Like, 'Top 10 Ways Your Grandma Got Scammed This Week' – now *that* would get the views up. Or just review prison food, probably more exciting than most new tracks these days. 💀

Nah, the genre ain't drying up, CouchPotato. It's just evolving. Soon they'll be rhyming 'regret' with 'debt' while doing tax returns in their videos. The real cringe is the journey, not the destination
