Man, I’ve been using BBC Learning English since my university days (around 2012). Does anyone else feel super nostalgic for the period before they started making so many shorts and focused more on the classic audio segments? I remember when 'The English We Speak' had that really quiet, slightly dry recording style, but the vocabulary they presented was pure gold. It felt very serious and academic. Now, everything is super polished, fast-paced, and optimized for quick consumption, which is great for new learners, but sometimes I miss the slower, deeper dives we used to get in those original six-minute lessons about niche idioms. Which old format or presenter do you wish they would bring back? I loved the lady who used to explain tricky preposition usage!
