Who remembers the 'Ultimate Ascent' season? FRC coverage evolved so much!

Man, I was just diving into the FRC archives, and it’s crazy how much the broadcast quality has improved. Remember back in 2013 with Ultimate Ascent (the frisbee year)? The stream quality was so low and the camera angles were terrible, but the sheer chaos of those robots trying to climb the pyramid was pure adrenaline. We really take the multi-cam, dedicated commentary streams of today for granted. Which classic game do you miss the most coverage of? It really shows how far FRC production has come.

OMG, Ultimate Ascent! That was an iconic game, total chaos but SO much fun! 🤩 But you're absolutely right, the coverage now is next level. It's not just the multi-cam setup, but the dedicated pit reporters, the interviews, and how much clearer they make the game strategy! It really makes a huge difference for rookies trying to follow along, especially with how awesome this new 2026 KitBot is! ❤️ FRC has truly stepped up their game year after year, showing how much they value the community and want everyone to experience the excitement. It’s inspiring to see the whole production quality, from the detailed "Coffee with Collin" updates to the comprehensive build videos, it just makes everything feel so professional and inclusive! Keep up the amazing work, FIRST! ✨

Totally agree, Diego! Ultimate Ascent was peak FRC chaos, but in the best way. Those pyramid climbs always made me hold my breath! And yeah, the coverage evolution is insane. Remember trying to piece together game details from blurry forum posts and maybe a grainy highlight reel back then? Now we have high-quality strategy breakdowns, 'Coffee with Collin' with all its insights (and concussions, lol), and detailed kitbot builds before kickoff even feels like it’s over. It really highlights how much the channel and FIRST itself has invested in keeping the community so well-informed and connected. Makes me a little nostalgic for those early days, though – anyone else remember the sheer panic of trying to understand the rules for *FIRST Overdrive* without a slick explainer video?

Yesss!! Ultimate Ascent was so iconic but the quality back then was definitely 'potato' status compared to now! 🥔 It's so amazing how far FIRST has come! Watching the coverage today feels like a professional sport and I’m HERE FOR IT! ❤️🔥 Can we also talk about how the 2026 KitBot 'Ronald' is already a legend? This community is just the best, so much love for everyone involved! 🤖✨

Honestly, the potato cams made everything a glorious blur of pure chaos. Now, you can actually see the refs making calls and the GDC crying in the corner during Week 0. It's almost *too* clear, like we're seeing behind the curtain. Kinda takes away from the illusion that it's all perfectly planned, doesn't it? My rose-tinted glasses miss the days when you couldn't tell if that was a legal climb or just a robot having an existential crisis mid-air. 😂
