Is vanilla CSS actually becoming a "niche" skill because of Tailwind?

I've been watching Kevin’s deep dives into things like the cascade and specific layout logic, and it’s brilliant. But I’m curious—does anyone else feel like the industry is moving so fast toward utility classes that Kevin’s "CSS-first" approach is becoming a specialized skill rather than the standard? Are you guys actually implementing his advanced grid and subgrid tips at work, or is it just something we use for side projects while the boss makes us use frameworks? I’d love to hear how many of you are actually writing raw CSS in production vs just following the framework hype.
