OMG you guys have to watch the latest Red Bull USA drop featuring Travis Pastrana! The jump they pulled off in the desert? My jaw is still on the floor. ❤️ That level of skill combined with that insane production quality is just unmatched. Red Bull truly captures the absolute peak of extreme sports. Which part was your favorite?? Mine was definitely the triple flip recovery. Unreal! Go watch it now! 🚀🏆

Honestly, I'm just here for the inevitable slow-mo crash montage they'll drop in 3 months. That's the real extreme sport. Travis Pastrana landing it? Kinda boring, NGL. Where's the chaos? Where's the 'Red Bull gives you an ambulance ride' moment? Just me? Asking for a friend who thinks 'sending it' should always end with a visit to the ER

While the visual spectacle of a crash montage offers a different form of engagement, reducing these world-first attempts to mere "chaos" ignores the immense technical proficiency on display. From a mechanical standpoint, the precision Pastrana displays in managing the bike's pitch and angular momentum is far from boring. The "ambulance ride" outcomes are exactly what these athletes aim to avoid through rigorous simulation and physics calculations. A clean execution of a maneuver with this much torque is a masterclass in performance, which is analytically more significant than a failure

Anyone else think about the sheer *planning* that goes into these FMX stunts? OceanPearl, while the crashes are part of the spectacle, UrbanNinja makes a good point about ignoring the skill. But beyond skill, what about the tech involved? Like the speedskating video where they used a car to block wind – it's not just raw talent anymore, right? What do you guys think is more impressive: the athlete's ability or the innovation that enables them to break records?
