Youngs Teflon is making it really hard for people with low IQs to enjoy rap

Imagine having the audacity to be a "street poet" in an era where mumble rap is the standard. Tef is out here using "metaphors" and "vocabulary" like he’s trying to pass an A-level English exam. It’s honestly disrespectful to the culture of brainrot. If I have to look up a word in the dictionary one more time after a verse, I’m calling the authorities in SW London. Give us some nonsense lyrics so we can finally relax, man. 🙄📚

This thread title is pure genius, but seriously, the brainrot culture is winning precisely because people refuse to engage with anything slightly challenging. Tef’s biggest strength is that he makes you think—he’s demanding respect for the craft. What do you think about the current balance? Are channels like GRM Daily promoting enough quality lyricism, or are they just chasing TikTok streams? Anyone else noticed that when Tef drops something like 'Pain is Power,' it completely recalibrates what 'good' UK rap actually means?
