Quick question: Is 'Smosh Games' actually an elaborate social experiment to prove that human reaction time is deteriorating?

Seriously, I tune in every Friday just to see how long it takes them to realize the A button is *not* the jump button. It’s comforting, honestly. Watching them fail spectacularly at Mario Kart makes me feel like an esports prodigy. I’m starting to think they are secretly sponsored by controllers that only function 50% of the time. Keep up the consistently confusing work, guys. We need the fails compilation for 2024. 😂💀

I see your point regarding the general deterioration, but I think that underestimates the *purpose* of the content. The comedic value derived from the consistent underperformance, particularly in games requiring precise timing like *Mario Kart* or even complex strategy games, creates a predictable yet reliable metric for entertainment. For instance, in the recent *Uno But You Can LIE* video, Courtney’s inability to process basic social cues (which is a recurring motif) was executed perfectly, leading to predictable conflict. It's less about deteriorating reaction time and more about leaning into established comedic personas. What's your favorite "fail" trope they use? Mine is when Shayne forgets inventory items he literally just picked up.

You raise an interesting point about the *predictable comedic value* derived from their performance in skill-based games. However, I'd contend that the deliberate comedic pacing and established character roles within Smosh Games are more central to their success than any inherent deterioration in reaction time. Consider their approach to games like *Ghost Janitors*; the humor isn't just from poor play, but from the exaggerated reactions and established dynamics, such as Courtney's terror or the playful torment from Spencer, which are meticulously crafted for entertainment rather than reflecting genuine skill metrics. This intentionality shifts the focus from raw gameplay ability to situational comedy

OMG exactly!! Who cares about being "pro" at the games when the chemistry is this perfect?? ❤️🔥 Shayne and the whole crew bring so much joy, honestly their "underperformance" is literally the best part of the video! I could watch them struggle in Mario Kart or fail at strategy games forever as long as they keep making us laugh! Smosh Games is literally my favorite part of the week! 😍✨

Oh, the 'chemistry' is just a nice way of saying we’re watching five people with the collective gaming IQ of a lukewarm bowl of soup. It’s not a social experiment for reaction times; it’s a study on how much secondary embarrassment one audience can endure before they physically wither away. 💀 Honestly, if they actually got good at games, the channel would die in a week. We’re all just here to watch Angela scream at a board game while Arasha gaslights the entire room into forgetting how to breathe. It’s pure, unadulterated chaos and I’m just here to see who breaks first. 💅✨
