Why do we pretend the Vault dwellers are the good guys?
Is it just me, or are the "pure" survivors in sci-fi always the most boring part of the story? I’d much rather watch a ghoul or a mutant just living their best life in the wasteland than listen to some vault resident whine about "torture being wrong." Like, honey, it’s the apocalypse, the rules changed 200 years ago. Why do writers think we still want a moral compass in a world that literally blew up? Give me the chaotic plot twists over the hero’s journey any day. Who else is rooting for the monsters at this point?
