Do you prefer the 'Newgrounds era' or the modern 'Indie Pilot' era of animation?
I was rewatching some old web cartoons from 10 years ago and the jump in quality to what we have today is insane. I remember when everything was just simple 2D Flash clips, and now we’re getting these massive 3D cinematic experiences with Hollywood-level production. While I love how professional everything has become, part of me misses the 'rough' and experimental feel of early 2010s webseries. Does anyone else feel like indie animation is losing its "indie" soul by trying to look like mainstream TV, or is this evolution exactly what the industry needed?
