Is it just me, or is modern Soul and R&B becoming way too "perfect"? I miss when you could hear the grit in a singer's voice and the actual room sound of the instruments. Now everything is so polished and pitch-corrected that it almost sounds clinical. I feel like the industry is prioritizing a "flawless" recording over actual human emotion. Does a flawless edit actually make a song better, or are we losing the "soul" in Soul music to high-end studio tech? What do you guys think?
