Okay, unpopular opinion maybe, but I've been watching a lot of stand-up lately (and remembering some of the classics from back in the day), and does anyone else feel like a lot of the "high energy" storytelling is starting to blur the line with motivational speaking or even a rant? Like, it's funny, but sometimes I miss the punchline-heavy sets or the more subtle observational stuff. It feels less about crafting jokes and more about delivering an animated monologue. Discuss
