Does anyone else feel like the "Music of Asia" scene is losing its soul by trying to go global? 🙄 I feel like as soon as a group targets the US or UK charts, the music becomes watered down, the choreo gets simplified for "TikTok challenges," and we lose that high-concept storytelling that made the niche great. Unpopular opinion: the best music is the stuff that never tries to leave its home market. Does the global reach actually justify the drop in experimental quality, or are we just watching the genre get colonized?
