I was thinking back to the old days of the BDO and the early PDC World Championships, and it feels like the strategic side of the game has changed so much. Back then, you’d see players like Phil Taylor or John Lowe thinking three or four visits ahead, setting up those specific 'favorite' doubles with so much tactical care. Now, it feels like if you aren't hitting a 100+ average and spamming the treble 20, you aren't even in the game. Does anyone else miss the slower, more methodical approach to leg play? I'm curious what you guys think about the current meta—do you still find yourself playing for specific setup shots during your own matches, or is it just 'aim for the max' and hope the math works out at the end?
