Okay, I know this is going to get a lot of hate, but I think the constant push for remasters and remakes of classic games is actually hurting the industry more than helping it.
Sure, nostalgia is great, and it's cool to see an old favorite with modern graphics. But honestly, it often feels like a safe, cash-grab move that takes resources away from genuinely new and innovative IPs. Are we really so creatively bankrupt that we have to re-release the same games over and over?
It's like developers are afraid to take risks, and publishers just want guaranteed money. I'd rather see a totally new game that pushes boundaries, even if it flops, than another 'HD edition' of a 20-year-old title.
