I’ve been going back through some of the classic comedy films from the late 90s and early 2000s, like Johnny English and the original Mr. Bean movies. I can’t help but notice how much more "physical" the editing felt back then. Nowadays, it feels like we rely so much on CGI and fast cuts, but the timing in those older films was just perfect. Does anyone else feel like modern editing for slapstick has lost some of that organic rhythm? I’d love to hear some thoughts on how the transition to digital suites has changed the way we watch comedy
