I’ve been noticing a massive shift in the scene lately. Everyone was on that high-energy 140bpm drill wave for years, but now it feels like the biggest tracks coming out of the North and London are way more melodic and deep. It’s like the scene is moving towards that "pain rap" or "real rap" vibe where guys are actually talking about their losses and mental health instead of just the usual road talk. Do you lot think this style has more longevity than drill, or is it just a phase? Is the "real" storytelling more relatable than the hype stuff we were getting in 2020?
