While the technical execution of a 'Panna' or a complex around-the-world sequence is aesthetically pleasing for social media, we need to be honest about its application in a competitive 90-minute match. I would argue that the current obsession with flashy individual skills is actually detrimental to a player's tactical development. Real "ball knowledge" is about spatial awareness and passing lanes, not how many times you can juggle a ball with a LEGO brick or a tennis ball. Are we prioritizing entertainment over actual footballing IQ in the modern era? I’d be interested to hear if anyone else thinks these skills translate to anything other than a highlight reel or if we are losing the "beautiful game" to pure showmanship
