I was looking at some older animated films recently and the art style is just so much more expressive than the 3D stuff we get now. Do you think theaters will ever go back to high-budget 2D animation, or is everything just going to be CGI forever? I feel like we're losing that "fairytale" feel with everything looking so realistic and polished. Does anyone else feel like modern CGI is starting to lack the soul that traditional animation had?
