Diesel swaps are ruining the car modding community

Is it just me, or have diesel swaps become the "easy mode" of car building? It feels like every time someone wants to do something "crazy," they just throw a Cummins in it and call it a day. Don't get me wrong, the torque is impressive, but it’s becoming incredibly predictable. I’d much rather see a high-revving rotary or even a weird EV conversion in a small truck than another 12-valve swap. Does anyone else think the "redneck engineering" scene is losing its creativity by sticking to the same three engines? What do you guys think?
