I’ve been thinking about this a lot after watching "The Gift" and "Mr. Harrigan's Phone" clips. When you look at the story from a side character’s perspective, it actually makes the plot feel more grounded and less like a "high cortisol" mess. 🤷‍♂️ Does anyone else feel like modern horror relies too much on protagonists making the dumbest possible choices? Like, the "burger guy" wouldn't even be a threat if the characters just acted like normal people. Is the genre losing its edge, or are these alternative perspectives just superior storytelling?
