Best Marvel figures for a new collector?

Anyone else noticed how crazy the prices are getting for high-end figures? What do you think is the best brand to start with if you want detail but don't want to go bankrupt? I'm looking for recommendations for a solid Iron Man or Hulk. Is Hot Toys always the way to go or should I look at something like SH Figuarts? What are you guys buying right now?

Totally agree, prices are going wild! Hot Toys are incredible but yeah, wallet-killers. For a starter Iron Man or Hulk, SH Figuarts definitely gives you more bang for your buck on articulation and poseability. I've seen some of J.B.'s "Spider-Man v hulk" videos, and you can see how much dynamic posing adds. But then, is it just about articulation, or does the sheer presence and realism of a Hot Toys piece win out for a display? What do you all think, is a perfect sculpt more important than crazy pose options for a new collector? Especially with some of the wild scenes J.B. puts together, does realism trump playability or vice versa?
