Hello everyone,
I'm an aspiring ice skater focusing on freestyle elements and I've been incredibly impressed by the level of skill and body control displayed in the videos here. Specifically, the incredible core strength and balance needed for some of the dynamic moves are truly remarkable.
I'm looking to enhance my off-ice training regimen to better support my on-ice performance, particularly for complex spins, aerials, and deep edges. Does anyone have recommendations for specific off-ice exercises, routines, or even equipment that have significantly helped them or others in developing core stability, flexibility, and explosive power relevant to advanced ice skating?
Any insights from those with experience in high-level training would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your expertise!
