Lately, I’ve been looking back at how much adventure and survival techniques have changed over the years. Remember when knowing how to tie a proper bowline knot or reading the tide charts was the bare minimum before heading out into the open water? It feels like everything nowadays is about the "thrill" and the "vibe" rather than the actual skill set. For those of you who still spend time on the water or in remote areas, do you think we’re losing those essential survival basics to modern tech? I’m genuinely curious what you guys consider the most important "old-school" skill that every modern adventurer should still know. Is it celestial navigation, manual fire-starting, or something else that’s being forgotten?
