I’ve been getting really into microbiology and immunology lately, especially after seeing the recent stuff about how tattoos interact with our cells. I want to read something more long-form, but I don't want to get bogged down in a dry textbook. Does anyone have recommendations for a solid "beginner" science book that actually stays accurate? I’ve heard good things about Mary Roach’s stuff. Anyone else have favorites that keep you curious without needing a PhD to understand? What do you guys think is the best one to start with?
