Every time a girl shows some actual power on the mound, the "internet refs" come out of the woodwork to scream about her foot leaving the plate. Honestly, who cares? The rules are outdated and just hold back the evolution of the game. If you can’t hit a heater because she hopped an inch off the rubber, just say you're washed. Same goes for those indoor tracks—people saying they look "dangerous" are just soft. It's sports, it's supposed to be gritty.
