Is it time for the USGA to finally change the divot rule?
I’ve been watching a lot of clips lately where players get absolutely robbed after hitting a perfect drive right into a sand-filled divot. It feels like such a massive flaw in the rules that you can't take a free drop for that. What do you guys think—should hitting the fairway ever result in a penalty? Why are we still punishing good shots just because of "tradition"? Anyone else feel like the rules need a serious overhaul for the modern game, or does the "play it as it lies" philosophy matter more to you than fairness? I'm curious to hear where you all stand on this
