I’ve been watching a lot of clips lately where players get absolutely robbed after hitting a perfect drive right into a sand-filled divot. It feels like such a massive flaw in the rules that you can't take a free drop for that. What do you guys think—should hitting the fairway ever result in a penalty? Why are we still punishing good shots just because of "tradition"? Anyone else feel like the rules need a serious overhaul for the modern game, or does the "play it as it lies" philosophy matter more to you than fairness?
