Do you guys remember when "fails" were just people falling off skateboards?
I’ve been thinking about how the whole "funny clip" and viral ranking culture has evolved over the years. Remember back in the day when we didn't have 4K cameras and the best moments were just grainy footage of a cat missing a jump or someone accidentally walking into a glass door? I feel like today everything is so high-production or staged for TikTok. What happened to the genuine, raw awkwardness of the 2010-era internet? Do you think the "unexpected" humor we see now actually hits as hard as the classics we grew up with, or are we just chasing a nostalgia high from the Golden Age of the internet? I'd love to hear what specific types of old-school fails you guys miss the most
