I've been thinking about the evolution of large-scale Minecraft servers recently, and I have a somewhat controversial take: the pervasive focus on in-game economics and complex grinding systems has significantly diminished the intrinsic creative and explorative spirit that initially defined Minecraft. While innovative systems like player farms and elaborate trading networks are technically impressive, they often lead to a less spontaneous, more transactional gameplay experience. It feels like many servers prioritize an artificial economy and player-vs-player competition over genuine collaborative building or world exploration. This shift might optimize engagement metrics, but I believe it detracts from the game's core appeal for many long-term players. Thoughts?
