Does anyone else feel like these security guards are often escalating situations way more than necessary? I’m all for catching thieves, but I’ve noticed a trend where the LP staff seems to be looking for a fight rather than just recovering the merchandise. When you see a guard wrestling someone over a pack of sodas, it feels less like "justice" and more like someone who failed the police academy trying to feel powerful. Are we actually okay with people getting physically assaulted over $20 worth of groceries, or has the internet just desensitized us to it? What do you guys think—is the "hero" tag in these comments actually earned?
