Does anyone else miss the era of variety shows where the challenges were purely about the contestants' wits and not high-budget setups? I was thinking back to older game shows where they'd give someone a really simple, bizarre prompt and just see how they'd crumble under the pressure. Do you think the genre is better when the tasks are complex and multi-layered, or when they're just basic things like "move this item from A to B without using your hands"? I personally find the simpler ones from years ago much more revealing of a person's character. What’s the "perfect" setup for a comedic challenge in your opinion?
