I’ve been looking back at stuff like the old Jackass stunts and the original Slim Shady Show sketches. There’s a raw energy there that just doesn't exist anymore. Nowadays, everything feels sterilized and pre-approved by a PR team.
Is it just that we’ve become too sensitive, or has the "art" of being offensive actually lost its value? I’d argue that we’re losing a huge part of entertainment by making everything "wholesome." Does anyone actually think modern sketch comedy is funnier than the chaotic mess of the early 2000s?
Shock humor is objectively better than modern "safe" comedy
