Okay, real talk for a minute. Every other week we hear some champ talking about a "3-fight plan before retirement" or "one last run." Then two years later, they're still here, picking fights against guys who were in diapers when they turned pro.

Is it just me, or are these "retirement plans" basically just a marketing blueprint to drum up hype for their next few PPVs? Like, "Oh, better watch this one, it's his LAST!" (Narrator: It was not his last.)

At what point do we just accept that nobody *really* retires gracefully anymore, unless they get knocked out cold into a new career? Asking for a friend who's tired of emotional farewells
