Hey gearheads, I've been thinking a lot about car customization lately and how much the scene has evolved. Back in the day, it felt like there was a huge emphasis on specific classic mods – things like deep dish wheels, ground effects kits that were *actually* functional, or wild engine swaps that redefined a car's character completely, like dropping a V8 into something unexpected.
Now, with the rise of wraps, air suspension, and widebody kits becoming almost standard, it feels like the focus has shifted. Don't get me wrong, modern builds are incredible, but sometimes I get a bit nostalgic for the older ways.
What are some of those old-school customization trends or specific mods that you guys miss or think were cooler than what we see today? Are there any older techniques or aesthetic choices you wish would make a comeback?
Old school vs. modern mods: What do you miss?
