I miss when music and faith actually felt authentic

Looking back at the evolution of hip hop, I can't help but feel nostalgic for the era where artists explored deep societal and religious themes without it feeling like a marketing stunt. Remember when a track could actually make you question your perspective on the world and your place in it? Nowadays, it feels like the authentic storytelling we used to value is being replaced by commercial aesthetics and chasing viral clips. Do you guys think we've lost that raw, conscious edge for good, or is there still a space for genuine soul in today's music scene?
