Long-form vlogging is dying and it's ruining the community

Does anyone else miss the era when couples channels actually posted 15-minute videos of just living life? I’ve been around since the early days of Mariah and Bill (remember those first COVID-era vlogs?), and it feels like the whole niche has shifted to 60-second "he did this" or "she did that" pranks. My hot take: the community was way tighter when we got to see the real daily routine instead of these high-energy shorts. It feels like we're losing the "lifestyle" part of lifestyle vlogging. Let's go back to the organic vibes!

Okay, this is such a valid point! I definitely remember those early Mariah and Bill vlogs during COVID, they really felt like hanging out with friends. The short-form stuff is super entertaining, like the 'if you laugh it’s true' challenges, and it clearly brings in views, but it feels like we're missing that deeper dive into their actual lives. Does anyone else think this shift to quick, punchy content, even if it's for algorithm reasons, makes it harder to truly connect with the creators and build that 'family' vibe they talk about? Or is it just a different kind of connection now, more focused on quick laughs?
