Does technical skill still matter in modern rap?
Anyone else noticed how the industry shifted from lyricism to just pure "vibe"? I was listening to some older mixtapes and the barology is on a different level compared to what’s topping the charts now. Do you think complex wordplay and double entendres are becoming a lost art, or is the new melodic style just a natural evolution of the genre? What do you think is more important for a track to be a "classic" today?
