Does anyone else remember when sim racing felt a bit more... pure? I’m getting really nostalgic for the days of GTR2 and the original rFactor. Back before everything was about high-stakes esports and direct drive wheels that cost more than my actual car. I’m looking for some recommendations for older sims or specific mods that still hold up physics-wise today. I want to go back to my roots and just drive some 90s GT cars around a modded Nurburgring for the pure joy of it. What are the best classic titles that you guys still keep installed for those late-night sessions? Any old-school sim forum gems or gear setups from that era I should revisit?

OMG YESSS!! 🤩 This thread is speaking my language! GTR2 and original rFactor are absolute gold, you're so right about the pure feel back then. The FFB in those older sims just had a certain *chef's kiss* quality. If you want something that still holds up, honestly rFactor with some of those insane early 2000s F1 car mods is still so good for that raw, edge-of-your-seat driving. Or even some of the old Assetto Corsa mods like the classic BMWs are just *chef's kiss*. Jimmy would absolutely dominate these, he's basically living proof that those older physics are still challenging and awesome. Love it! ❤️🔥
